There are a great number of regional events in music and culture: the International Festival Echternach, the Dancing Procession, e-lake in Echternach, Art in Beaufort, regional markets, etc.

The Dancing Procession of Echternach

The Dancing Procession takes place every year on Whit Tuesday (Tuesday after Pentecost) and attracts between 10.000 and 12.000 pilgrims and visitors. It is inscribed on the UNESCO Intagible Cultural Heritage List.

Foyer Zwei-Länder-Marathon - october

The participants of the Marathon of Echternach run on the Luxembourgish side as well as on the German side. They run across Echternach, around the lake and then through the Valley of the Sure and the German-Luxembourgish Nature Park. The track is popular as it is fast, flat and very diversified.

Culture-, Tourism- and Congress Center Trifolion in Echternach

Convention Centre with concert hall of a capacity for 600 auditors. Superb acoustics for live performances of all kinds. Next to this hall is a second one with impressive round gallery for 300 guests. Additional rooms of varying sizes are available for seminars or workshops.

Festival International de Musique Echternach

The International Music Festival Echternach takes place every year in May and June with classical music concerts and in September with jazz concerts at the Trifolion. Other concert „halls“ are the Basilika and the Sts.Peter and Paul Church in Echternach.
