The 175th anniversary of the accession of Luxembourg to the Deutscher Zollverein (German Customs Union) is an opportunity for the National Archives to show part of their especially economic funds. The purpose of the exhibition is to draw the attention of researchers to the very rich and varied historical sources that cover a subject relatively little studied so far. It also intends to raise the public’s awareness on some currently relevant questions: What is a customs union? What are its advantages and disadvantages?
Discover over a hundred documents and objects illustrating three-quarters of a century of the economic, political and social history of Luxembourg introduced in a different light by a new exhibition design realised by the National Archives.
The exhibition, in French and German, will last until 18 August 2018 and can be visited from Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and Saturday from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m..
